Massage Therapist Bio

 

  • Terry Bell has been giving friends and family massages since she was a little girl, and became a professional massage therapist in 1993.  She continually attends classes to learn new modalities in  her repertiore, which include: Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Shiatsu, Orthopedic style Massage and Swedish.

Her passion is helping others with pain relief especially using Trigger Point Therapy, a technique that she discovered when she had numbness/tingling radiating down her arm and hand.  Luckily her chiropractor knew this way of relief, and applied deep pressure on her scalene muscles ( the neck ) to various points for approx. 90 seconds each.   The symptoms disappeared after two sessions, never to return again. Terry was excited to apply this method to her clients and began using it immediately with amazing results.  Then she began teaching others to hold  certain trigger points on their own bodies, to control pain and discomfort.  "Its a great feeling to empower others to help themselves" 

Also influencing her work is Yoga, Meditation, Energy Medicine, and Qi Gong.
